Naar aanleiding van onze beklimming op de Kilimanjaro hebben we onderstaande brief verstuurd naar de African Walking Company.
Uiteraard willen we jullie ook heel erg bedanken voor onze uitstekend geregelde reis. Het was veel mooier dan we ooit hadden durven dromen. Zoals in de brief omschreven was de beklimming fantastisch georganiseerd. Na de beklimming hebben we mogen genieten van jullie safari. Hoogtepunt was absoluut het tenten kamp aan Lake Manyara. De great migration die we graag wilde zien hebben we dan ook meermaals mogen meemaken.
Heel heel hartelijk dank voor jullie uitstekende voorbereidingen!!!

Dear African Walking Company,
Last October (2nd up to 9th), we climbed the Kilimanjaro together with a great team of the AWC. We are very pleased that we had such a great team, consisting of Joshua Harold (Guide), Richard (Assistant Guide) and Ramadan (Cook) together with many excellent colleagues.
We wanted to let you know that the service and the experience on the Kilimanjaro was excellent. Ramadan, the cook, cooked us a great meal, multiple times a day. He even made a special ‘gluten-free’ meal for one of us. It was unbelievable how he was able to cook such delicious food on a mountain.
Richard was a very reliable, steady guide with a lot of experience. He was good to adjust himself and had very good people knowledge. During the trip one of us passed out (for a couple of minutes), Richard and a porter carried her to lower levels. It was proper decision that during the summit push, there was one guy of the AWC for every person. This gave us a comfortable feeling.
We would like to thank Joshua specially. He was a real motivator for us. We still remember his great speeches during the briefings. It was remarkable that he realizes and remember us every day that it was a ‘once in a life time’ experience. We felt very welcome, and special on the same time. We really loved to see that he was very concerned over his whole crew. It was very clear that he is a remarkable person loved by a lot of (other) porters on the Kilimanjaro.
