June to October:
This is the “cool” period in Ras Kutani. The temperature has fallen slightly to an average of 28 degrees during the day.

November to December:
Precipitation varies and the temperature slightly rises.

December to February:
This is the hottest period of the year (33 degrees during the day).

Forest

The coastal forest behind the camp is best to be explored in the morning. The forest has more than 132 different types of trees and a colourful series of ray-winged butterflies.
You can also enjoy the antics of four types of monkeys, including the spectacular black and white colobus.

Turtles

Every year the green turtles return to the secluded beaches of Ras Kutani to lay their eggs. This is your chance to see the miracle of baby turtles crawling out of their eggs making their first trip to the ocean.
You shouldn’t miss this endearing and humbling experience.

In Ras Kutani, breathtakingly beautiful water birds reside around the lagoon, turtles lay their eggs and swim humpback whales.
