During this trip, you’ll visit Nyerere National Park and Ruaha National Park, two of Tanzania’s most unspoilt safari areas. Here, you’ll experience safaris in complete tranquillity. Go on impressive game drives, enjoy a boat safari on the Rufiji River and explore nature on a walking safari. The contrast between the two parks ensures a complete safari experience.
After taking in all the sights of the safari, you’ll round off your trip in style on tropical Zanzibar.

Discover the unspoilt nature of southern Tanzania on a varied safari through Nyerere National Park and Ruaha National Park. Enjoy impressive game drives, a boat safari and a walking safari in areas where nature still reigns supreme. Thanks to domestic flights, you’ll spend more time experiencing the safari and less on long days of travelling. Afterwards, round off your trip in style on tropical Zanzibar.

Dar es Salaam
The trip begins in Dar es Salaam. You’ll be met at the airport and will spend your first evening in a comfortable hotel in Dar es Salaam. A lovely place to start your safari the following morning.
Nyerere NP
From Dar es Salaam, you’ll fly to the vast Nyerere National Park. On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by your guide and the safari will begin straight away as you make your way to your accommodation. That’s how the adventure gets off to a flying start.
Over the next few days, you’ll explore one of Africa’s largest and most unspoilt national parks. Go on impressive jeep safaris in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo and the rare African wild dog, or experience the park from the water on a boat safari along the Rufiji River. With a bit of luck, you’ll see hippos, crocodiles and countless bird species up close. The mix of land and water safaris makes Nyerere a unique safari experience.
Ruaha NP
Early in the morning, you’ll fly from Nyerere to the impressive Ruaha National Park. Upon arrival, the safari begins straight away on the way to your camp, beautifully situated in the heart of the bush.
Over the next few days, you’ll explore Ruaha’s rugged landscapes in an open-top safari vehicle. The river attracts plenty of wildlife all year round, giving you a great chance to spot elephants, lions, buffalos, giraffes and, with a bit of luck, the rare African wild dog. Thanks to the remote location and the small-scale camps, you’ll enjoy safaris here in complete tranquillity, surrounded by nature.
Zanzibar
After a final safari, you’ll say goodbye to your guide and fly to tropical Zanzibar. Here, you’ll spend the next five nights in a charming, small-scale coastal accommodation, where you can relax and reflect on your unforgettable safari in peace and quiet.
Amsterdam
In the evening, you’ll fly from Zanzibar Island – via Dar es Salaam or Nairobi – back to Amsterdam, where you’ll arrive the following morning.

Safaris in Nyerere National Park and Ruaha National Park are undertaken together with other guests from the camp and led by an guide.
Once there, you and the guide will decide how to go about the safaris: by jeep, on foot or by boat.
