Arusha
The journey begins in Arusha city, Tanzania’s safari capital. You’re welcomed at the airport and enjoy the first evening in a comfortable hotel, on the outskirts of the city. At this pleasant place, you enjoy a drink and a bite with the sounds of crickets and young birds in the background.
The program includes several jeep safaris, a night safari and a Maasai visit. Great experiences that you share with each other in the evening by the campfire and the setting sun.
Tarangire
Our guide picks you up to start your safari. You drive west through the Maasai Steppe to Tarangire National Park. This park is known for the gigantic baobab trees and large elephant herds.
Ngorongoro Highlands
After breakfast, you’ll depart for the Ngorongoro Highlands, the Maasai region, passing through the bustling village of Mto wa Mbu. This village is the perfect starting point for an optional village walk or mountain bike safari. A stop in this colorful village is also an option for a local lunch. A little further along is the Treetop Walkway, where you can enjoy a different perspective of the surroundings high up in the trees. You’ll arrive at your lodge in the afternoon and have time to relax.
Ngorongoro Crater
In the village of Mto wa Mbu you can go mountain biking or get acquainted with daily life in this bustling village on foot.
You drive on to the Ngorongoro Highlands and make a full day safari in the world famous Ngorongoro Crater where you potentially see all of the Big Five in one day.
Serengeti
The road from the Ngorongoro Highlands to the Serengeti is one of the most iconic itineraries in Tanzania. Serengeti literally means “endless plains.” You’ve probably never been able to see for such a distance in your life. In search of fresh grass, throughout the year millions of animals roam through this park, which has so much to offer.
Zanzibar
You say goodbye to your guide and fly to Zanzibar Island. A beautiful flight with exceptional views. In the coming days, you have the opportunity to enjoy the sun, sea and beach on the tropical island of Zanzibar.
Departure
In the evening you fly from Zanzibar Island – via Dar es Salaam or Nairobi – back to your home destination, where you arrive the next morning.
