Travel schedule
After a cool domestic flight from Zanzibar, over the Indian Ocean and part of the park, you land in the middle of Nyerere National Park. The next few days will be filled with safaris by jeep, a short walking safari and a boat safari. It is certainly special to view the animals on foot and from the water. You will experience a few unforgettable and adventurous days in the middle of nature. On the day of departure you fly back to tropical Zanzibar, back to your hotel for the continuation of your beach holiday in tropical Zanzibar.
Arrival
Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Abeid Karume Airport for a domestic flight to Nyerere National Park.
After a beautiful flight you land on a field in the middle of the park. The guide will be waiting for you there and your safari will start immediately. You immediately see different wild animals.
At the end of the day, arrive at your lodge for a well-deserved drink by the campfire. Your dinner will be served after the setting sun. Tired of all the impressions, you are guaranteed to sleep well that night, with the sounds of the wilderness in the background.
Nyerere National Park
Depending on the number of days you are here, you can make several safaris. This can be done by jeep, on foot or by boat. Great ways to see this huge park and the many animals that live there.
This is in consultation with the guide. But whatever you choose; a boat safari at sunset, a walking safari of a few hours and/or the safari in an open jeep, these will be unforgettable, adventurous and varied days in the middle of nature.
Back on Zanzibar
From Nyerere National Park you will fly back to tropical Zanzibar and returned to your Zanzibar hotel.
But if you want to experience the old cultural heart of Stone Town while you’re there, then why not spend a night in this bustling city – on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
