About Kholle House

Kholle House is a boutique hotel in the heart of Stone Town, on the west coast of Zanzibar island.

The Kholle House was built in 1860 by Princess Kholle, the daughter of the first Sultan of Zanzibar, and offers a glimpse into the life of a Zanzibari princess.

The beautifully renovated and attractive building is located near the harbour of Stone Town.

The property

The hotel has eight unique, attractive and luxurious rooms and two family apartments, decorated in Swahili style with Zanzibari and art deco furniture.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor with doors opening onto a quiet inner garden with swimming pool. The teahouse on the roof takes you back in time of the sultan, and offers a great view over this part of Stone Town.
