About Kokoko Camp

The exclusive but simply furnished Kokoko Camp is located on the edge of the forest, overlooking the dry Mwagusi riverbed, in the north of Ruaha National Park. A beautiful location with lots of wildlife.

Kokoko means ‘cocoon’ in Kiswahili.
The tent roof can be opened completely so you can admire the beautiful starry sky from your bed.

At Kokoko Camp you can enjoy the beautiful nature in peace.

The property

Kokoko Camp consists of just three private tents, each simple in design and made of (mosquito net) mesh for an optimal view outside. Kokoko camp is rented in its entirety.

All meals at Kokoko Camp are prepared over an open fire. You dine in the open air as much as possible to fully enjoy the incredible surroundings.

Activities

From Kokoko Camp you can go on safari every day by jeep and on foot. Unique to this accommodation is that you can also take night safaris in the park.
Kokoko Camp’s guides are known for their in-depth knowledge of the wildlife and wonders of Ruaha National Park. Special interests in birds, geology, etc. are taken into account.

Kokoko Camp offers the following activities:

  • (Open) Jeep Safari
  • Walking safari
  • Night Safari

Price indication

From € 1760 to € 2640 per night for exclusive use of the camp, for your own group of two to six people (full board, including drinks and safaris)

  • Including camping/concession fee for the overnight stay in a protected nature reserve.
  • Excluding additional costs such as transport, entrance fees to the parks, etc.
  • The final price depends on the room chosen, the season and currency fluctuations.

Kokoko Camp is open from July to October.
