About Sable Mountain Lodge

At the small-scale Sable Mountain Lodge, located on the border of the Nyerere National Park, the emphasis is on enjoying nature and Tanzanian hospitality.

The Sable Mountain Lodge cottages are spread over the Beho Beho hill with beautiful views over the Uluguru mountains.

The property

The eight stone cottages and four beautiful open-fronted tent rooms with verandas of Sable Mountain Lodge have a makuti roof and stunning views

After a cooling dip in the pool, it’s time for a drink in the ‘Land Rover’s Return’. The round restaurant serves delicious and fresh food and takes dietary requirements into account.

Socially concerned

Sable Mountain Lodge works based on the UN SDGs, aimed at improving and protecting our future.

Partly based on these sustainable development goals, Sable Mountain Lodge became the (co-)founder of a number of projects in 2024, such as the establishment of a Sports Academy for girls. A 15 hectare site was purchased for this purpose to create a top sports academy for girls. The intention is for professional korfball coaches to look for female talent who can live, study and train here.
