About Sand Rivers Selous
Sand Rivers Selous is beautifully and quietly located on the banks of the Rufiji River south of Lake Tagalala, in a remote northern part of Nyerere National Park, the former Selous Game Reserve.
The stylish and luxurious open cottages lie under large trees and overlook the beautiful Rufiji River.
Under a large baobab tree lies the swimming pool, overlooking the river.
Here you can enjoy the ultimate safari experience and very good and hospitable service.
The property
Sand Rivers Selous has eight stone cottages with thatched roof, all open at the front and on elevated wooden platforms overlooking the river.
The dining, bar and lounge are on a long bend of the Rufiji River, from which is a beautiful sight.

Sand Rivers Selous is so much part of the tides of the Rufiji River that it seems to lie on the banks. The view over the brown, swirling water is reminiscent of adventure films from a different era.
