About Usangu Expedition Camp
Usangu Expedition Camp is located in a shady spot on the edge of the high water mark of the Usangu Wetlands, the source of the Great Ruaha River, deep in the remote southern corner of the Ruaha National Park.
The camp offers a wide variety of included activities such as walking – and night safaris
and the opportunity to participate in ongoing research projects at the Douglas Bell Eco research station next door.
This largely unexplored wilderness, with no other camps nearby, is every adventurer’s dream.
The property
The Usangu Expedition Camp consists of just four tents with ensuite bathrooms on a raised wooden deck and has a maximum capacity of eight guests.
The central dining tent serves delicious meals and is also a wonderful place to relax after your safari. Meals are prepared over an open fire.
