Tanzania really surprised us!

As a family, we have already visited many beautiful and special travel destinations. However, a safari in Tanzania combined with a few days of relaxation on Zanzibar was still on our wish list. The search for a suitable travel agency did not take long. Because we try to avoid mass tourism, we prefer a tour operator that is specialized in the country in question. Soon we ended up at Explore Tanzania. The first travel proposal was actually immediately customized and the personal contact was always pleasant.

Tanzania really surprised us. The landscape is beautiful and very diverse, the people are very friendly and hospitable and last but not least…… we spotted the big five! Even though we did not expect this at the beginning of the trip, the guides spoke the sacred words every day, hakuna matata! Another day tomorrow.

We started in Arusha, where our guide/driver Emmanuele picked us up. Through Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park and to finish we spent another day in Ngorongoro Crater. 5 days we drove a luxury jeep through these areas. We saw so many animals and our guide also knew so much about them. Every day we were asked what our wishes were for that day, and this was taken into account. So wonderful to have lunch in the middle of the Serengeti, to have breakfast in the Ngorongoro Crater, to hear the lions roar at night, to see the giraffes walk past the lodge, thousands of wild animals, 3 little Pumba’s in the high grass staring at you….. actually it is too much to mention. It was amazing!

A safari is quite intense and the impressions are overwhelming. We therefore loved ending our vacation on Zanzibar. Again, Explore Tanzania made a great choice for us. A fantastic accommodation, small-scale on Jambiani Beach…. A little paradise!

As a family we made some very nice memories again and can highly recommend this trip with Explore Tanzania to everyone.
