Breakfast with the sounds of hippos in the distance

You do have certain expectations in advance of a trip to Tanzania, but it was so much more beautiful than I had imagined! The smells, the intensely kind and hospitable people, the nature, the animals…. it was so special to be able to do this with the three of us.

Everything, but really everything was organized down to the last detail. That made me experience this vacation completely carefree. The accommodations were great, the food was top notch. Even the kids suddenly ate everything in the pot! We had great guides. James and George. These were truly walking Tanzanian search engines. The kids gobbled up all the information. Bram even learned some phrases in Swahili.

The Serengeti, there is no end to it. Bram said at one point,“ Mom look, there you can just see the bulge of the earth!”
We found the experience at the Serengeti view camp very special. Closer to nature I don’t think you can get. Breakfast outside with the sound of a hyena calling in the distance and the grunting hippos heading toward the waterhole. And that starry sky, you could even see the Milky Way. It was touching.

The hospitality, the feeling of welcome and Pascal’s big smile. Bram was even allowed on the staff wifi to send an app to his girlfriend. We also found it special that you experience so many different landscapes in one day. From Tarangire National Park, through the Ngorogoro highlands to the Serengeti.

To conclude a few days on Zanzibar. Again, this location was wonderful. The atmosphere, food, pool, beach, etc. A dream.
We really recommend the bicycle tour. Our guide Mustafa took us through the village. He knew a lot to tell. Along the way there were fresh coconuts picked from the tree by a friend. These people don’t have much but what they have they like to share. Children running around shouting “Jambo, jambo” and coming over full of wonder and making contact with you. We even entered a Koranic school. Now they could practice the song with an audience. We were honored.
