Everything always turns out okay in the end!
The trip has definitely changed us and we mean that in a positive way.
It was a huge adventure. Especially driving ourselves in the national parks was an experience. We saw a lot of wild animals including 50 elephants that slowly but steadily crossed the river. A phenomenal experience.
Sleeping on the public campsites was a challenge. In some places there are no rangers to protect them. The campsites are also not fenced. This made the nights a bit more exciting. However, the car was well equipped with everything so we could stay safely around the vehicle.
At night we saw two giraffes nibbling from a tree about 2 meters from our roof tent. Magical moments.
The roads in the Serengeti are extremely bad. It was quite a challenge to get the car through there in one piece. Hakuna matata [There is no problem], is the slogan we take home. Everything always turns out fine in the end.
The Watanzania [Tanzanians] are a beautiful people. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful.
We look back at our adventures with a warm dreamy smile. One thing is for sure, we will definitely come back.
