You can make stunning boat safaris on the various rivers and lakes of Nyerere National Park & Selous Game Reserve.

During a boat safari, there is a great chance you see hippos, crocodiles and possibly other animals that come to drink. Also, you can see about 40 different bird species flying around.

A boat safari takes about two hours. A popular option is a morning walk around 6.30 am followed by a boat safari around 10 am. An afternoon boat safari has the advantage that you sail during sunset.
