Arusha & Ng'iresi

The journey starts in Arusha city, the safari capital of Tanzania. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be welcomed by our organization and taken to your accommodation.

The next morning you will be picked up for a day tour to Ng’iresi. You will drive to the lower forested slopes of Mount Meru in the village of Ng’iresi, close to Tengeru. A traditional healer from the village takes you on a walk through the woods and explains the medicinal properties of various plants.

After the local lunch, you will go to Arusha city to learn all about the city’s history, cultures and way of life. You will drive through the city, visit the local (food) market, the Maasai gift market and the marimba clothing markets. But also local shops, local bars, hairdressers and more. The tour concludes with a coffee tasting at a large coffee plantation.

Arusha - Lake Duluti

Today you make a canoe trip on Lake Duluti.

Glide over the smooth surface of the small crater lake Duluti, close to Arusha town and spot rare birds; giant kingfishers, a bald eagle, darters and much more. Surrounded by wooded crater walls, this is a very special and peaceful canoe trip. Watch the hundreds of egrets return to an island in the lake to spend the night.

Lake Manyara

After breakfast in Arusha you will be picked up by the safari guide and you will drive in a private jeep to Lake Manyara National Park. Before the Lake Manyara National Park you drive through the village of Mto wa Mbu. This typical African village has a colorful local market with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. It is possible to take a village walk here.

You will then go on safari in Lake Manyara National Park; a park where you can see giraffes, elephants, hippos, zebras and flamingos. At the end of the day you will arrive at your accommodation.

The next day you will enjoy a full day in the park with a stay at the unique Green Camp. From the camp you can see the animals walking by. You start the day with a walk along the shores of Lake Manyara led by a professional guide and armed park ranger. It will be a full day of safaris with an optional night safari.

South Serengeti

After breakfast you will leave for the Serengeti. You drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands, past the Ngorongoro Crater and through beautiful landscapes to the endless plains of the Serengeti. This is probably the furthest you’ve ever seen! Along the way you will enjoy the many wild animals that you will see.

The next few days are filled with safaris on foot and by jeep. This area in the south of Serengeti National Park is breathtakingly beautiful: hills and valleys, beautiful trees and plants, rivers and many different animals. It is recommended to take beautiful walks in the morning, and to explore greater distances by car after lunch.

You will explore this beautiful area on foot accompanied by a guide and an armed ranger. During a walking safari, you also pay attention to the small details in the wild: tracks in the sand, excrement, insects, plants and more. Surprising and educational! It’s not about the miles, it’s about enjoying the area!

Lake Manyara - back home

After breakfast in the Serengeti you will drive past the Ngorongoro Crater to a beautiful lodge near the Lake Manyara National Park.

You can spend this morning completely according to your wishes at this wonderful accommodation where you can enjoy the beautiful location and the swimming pool.

In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport in Arusha – the Kilimanjaro Airport – for the flight back home where you will arrive the next morning.
