Canoe possibilities

In Tanzania, there are several possibilities for canoeing on a lake, unfortunately not on rivers.

CanoeingCanoeingLake Manyara safari

Arusha National Park

A canoe safari on Lake Momella in Arusha National Park offers the unique opportunity to get close to the animals.
From the canoe you can see different animals, for example buffalo, giraffes, waterbucks and many different species of birds. In addition, you have spectacular views of the Kilimanjaro and Meru mountains.

The canoe safari takes about 3 hours.

Lake Duluti

Lake Duluti is a beautiful lake about a half-hour drive from Arusha city. Gliding over the smooth surface of this small crater lake there is a good chance that you will see many birds that you rarely see elsewhere: the large kingfisher, fish eagle, snake neck birds and much more. The lake is surrounded by wooded crater walls.

A wonderful area to be active for 1,5 hours.

Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara is home to a wide variety of birds including the pink flamingos during their migration, and other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks. During the canoe safari you can get close to giraffes, elephants, buffalo and other animals. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery around you during this canoe safari.

This canoe safari takes 2.5 hours and only takes place if there is enough water in Lake Manyara.
