You fly from Dar es Salaam in forty minutes to Songo Songo Island, from where a boat takes you to Fanjove Private Island.

The property
On the island, along the beach and at a good distance from each other, there are eight exclusive eco-bungalows with an open bathroom ensuite. You can walk straight into the sea from your bungalow.
In the restaurant and the restored iconic 19th century lighthouse, delicious meals are served, with many local herbs and fresh ingredients.

The bungalows (bandas) of Fanjove Private Island are built with natural materials and have electricity through solar energy. The eco suites each have an open bathroom, so you can shower under the stars with water heated by the sun. The atmosphere is boho chic with lots of reed/grass accessories and a nice hammock.
