About Kitu Kiblu Beach Lodge
The simple Kitu Kiblu Beach Lodge is located on the beach in Kilindoni, Mafia, just outside the Mafia Island Marine Park.
Kitu Kiblu Beach Lodge organizes half-day excursions where you can see the whale sharks in a safe, relaxed and respectful way.
You sleep here between the cashew and coconut palms on the beach.
The property
The six beach houses of Kitu Kiblu Beach Lodge are made of canvas and placed like stilt houses on the beach.
There is an intimate restaurant where delicious fresh and local cuisine is served.
Overview
Whale sharks can be found in large numbers around Mafia Island, often between September and March.
It is possible to follow an internship program here if you are interested in protecting whale sharks or generally want to gain more experience and skills at sea.
