About Mwanza Lake view Farm

Mwanza Lake View Farm is a small-scale eco lodge on the beach – 20 kilometers from the center of Mwanza – and with beautiful views over Lake Victoria and Saa Nane National Park.

The simple houses and tents are located in the (vegetable) garden of the farm. The income from the farm and the rental of the rooms supports the local community.

The property

The four cottages and three comfortably furnished safari tents at Mwanza Lake view Farm have a private bathroom and a veranda with views of Lake Victoria.

The restaurant uses products from its own farm and freshly caught fish. On the farm, among other things, papayas and lemongrass are grown, chickens are raised and fish are raised.

The price is based on two people occupancy. The minimum stay is two nights.

Excluding additional costs such as transport, entrance fees to the parks, etc.
The final price depends on the room chosen, the season and currency fluctuations.

Socially involved

The goal of Mwanza Lake View Farm is to help the local community by working together.
The income from the farm and the rental of the rooms have already contributed to two water projects and a remediation project for local schools. But also a computer class and kitchen equipment for these schools.
All this in collaboration with the Support School Fees Foundation, which sponsors education for underprivileged children and water projects in Tanzania.

Volunteer work

It is possible to do volunteer work from Mwanza Lake View Farm. This can be done for a few days to a few weeks. As a student and/or subject specialist, alone or with your family.

You can then use your skills on a voluntary basis in education, healthcare and agriculture in the Mwanza area. The people there learn from you and you learn from them.
