About The Highlands
The Highlands is located on the edge of the rainforest near the Olmoti Crater, north of the Ngorongoro Crater.
Due to the height of this property, you have fantastic views on all sides: the Gol Mountains in the northwest, Empakaai Crater in the East and Olmoti Crater in the south.
A nice balance between wilderness and a high level of comfort,
in an area with a lot of privacy.
The property
The eight tented suites at The Highlands are made of canvas and glass, inspired by traditional Maasai bomas (huts) from the environment.
In the middle of the lodge you find a lounge with a traditional fire place to enjoy the beautiful books that lie there while enjoying a drink.

Activities
From The Highlands, you can go on safari in the world famous Ngorongoro crater (1 hour drive), but also on foot to visit an authentic Maasai village. The staff members will gladly take you to their village to get to know their family. Or go for a nice walk near or in the beautiful Olmoti crater and / or the Empakaai crater.
