We enjoyed everything
What was the moment you thought, “Wow, I’ll never forget this”?
Leaving camp at 7:00 a.m. and seeing a herd of elephants crossing the road right in front of our jeep. So special! It brought tears to my eyes… Beautiful!
What surprised or touched you about Tanzania? Perhaps something you hadn’t anticipated?
The nature, the diversity of animals (I especially didn’t expect the different birds). So beautiful! And the people are so friendly and welcoming.
How did you experience meeting the people and the culture?
Like a warm bath. We enjoyed everything, including the lifestyle and relaxed atmosphere of the locals. Special thanks also to our wonderful guide Rem. Without him, we wouldn’t have been able to see these beautiful animals or take these stunning photos. He was truly the best!
What would you recommend future travelers absolutely not to miss?
The safari in Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti. And definitely leave just after sunrise. The accommodations were fantastic (especially Honeyguide Tarangire and Raha Boutique Hotel in Zanzibar). The combination of safari and Zanzibar was also fantastic!
What will you take with you from this trip, in your mind, heart, and/or travel bag?
That the people there are happier compared to us. Even though they have fewer valuable possessions, they live more simply and less stressfully than we do.
We look back on a successful trip with many memories and souvenirs.
