Travel schedule
Accompanied by a professional guide, you will discover the five national parks in the north of Tanzania on this unique safari. Every day you will go on safari in a sustainable and active slow travel way, for an intense nature experience. Each park is unique in terms of flora and fauna, which makes every day different.
You will go canoeing in the Arusha National Park, go on walking safaris in Tarangire and Serengeti, and explore Lake Manyara by mountain bike. High in the trees you will walk on the Treetop Walkway and on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater you will go on an adventurous walking safari.
During this safari you will spend the night very comfortably in sustainable Green Camps and mobile tent camps. The highlight of the trip is the mass migration of the wildebeest / gnus, which you will follow on foot from our mobile camp in the Serengeti.
Arusha
Your trip starts in Arusha city; the safari capital of Tanzania. You’re welcomed at the airport and enjoy the first evening in a comfortable and eco-friendly hotel, on the city’s outskirts. At this pleasant place you enjoy a drink and a bite, with the sounds of crickets and young birds in the background.
The next day you go on a canoe safari on the Momella lakes with views of the Kilimanjaro and Meru mountains. You sail quietly through the park and spot the wild animals from the water.
Tarangire
Together with our guide, you start the safari. You drive west through the Maasai Steppe to Tarangire National Park. This park is known for its gigantic baobab trees and large herds of elephants. On the second day, you explore this park on foot, a truly unique experience!
On foot you will discover wildlife up close, accompanied by experienced guides and a park ranger.
Lake Manyara
You drive to the unknown Magara, a beautiful location south of Lake Manyara National Park. You enjoy lunch here and then cycle to the southern entrance of the park. Explore this beautiful area actively and intensely on your mountain bike.
You continue the journey by jeep in Lake Manyara National Park where you go on safari. Prepare yourself for an encounter with the tree-climbing lions.
At the end of the day you arrive at the unique Green Camp near a riverbed, where the animals walk past your tent. With a drink in your hand, you will undoubtedly enjoy all the beauty that nature has to offer.
The next morning you walk along the banks of Lake Manyara to the hot springs in the south of the park. Many small details, beautiful plants and amazing nature. You enjoy a delicious meal and a relaxing afternoon.
Ngorongoro
Today’s program entails the Treetop Walkway! You walk through treetops over suspension bridges on the edge of Lake Manyara National Park and enjoy the spectacular views as you walk across the canopy of suspension bridges, reaching various platforms at a height of 18 metres.
You will have lunch at a local restaurant in the middle of a banana plantation near Mto wa Mbu, where you will be introduced to the very tasty traditional Swahili cuisine.
Together with your guide, you drive through the tree-rich Ngorongoro Highlands to the camp on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater. That same afternoon, you walk along the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater and and you will come face to face with one of the greatest natural spectacles in the world.
Serengeti
As the sun rises, you drive through the Ngorongoro Crater; stunning and without other visitors. There’s a good chance you’ll spot the Big Five here.
After this you drive to Serengeti National Park via one of the most beautiful routes in Tanzania. Endless views over the Serengeti plains, where millions of animals migrate through each year in search of water and food – the Great Migration -. You enjoy a full day of this jeep safari, in search of the many animals that the vast park knows.
You then go on a two-day walking safari in a part of Serengeti that is only accessible by foot. You walk, guided by a professional guide and a park ranger, through nature and very close to the animals during these two days. It’s impossible to be more connected to nature.
