Every season is different and beautiful

What was the moment he thought: “Wow, I’ll never forget this”?
And our immersion in the inland air was complete, as we met our driver and guide, Albert. After an hour’s drive, we stopped at a rock formation and saw a couple of Land Cruisers. Albert immediately took a different road around it, and sure enough, Kazuko and Albert spotted a dead antelope on the rock, and immediately a leopard. The enormous animal and the leopard chose to devour it. It was our first time seeing a leopard, and we’ll never forget it.
And so it continued throughout the trip, often the first time there were lions or other animals, and then the most beautiful spot to even watch them quietly. Albert had a keen eye for that.

What happened in Tanzania?
That everything went smoothly again and was well-cared for. And that Albert took his time with anything that was particularly poachable. Later on our trip, we met our driver, Indy, with whom we were on our first trip to Tanzania.

How did you experience meeting people and experiencing the culture?
The interaction with the people at Green Camp and the other accommodations was very pleasant. Albert was very informative about the history of Tanzania and the wildlife. We also visited a Maasai village where we learned about the local way of life.
On the last day, Albert had yet to find a guide who took us on an hour-long tour of a village, explaining everything.
And at the end of the afternoon, we visited a center for people with disabilities who were doing manual labor to help them get back into the workforce.

What would you recommend future travelers not to miss?
I would recommend researching a bit about Tanzania, what you’d like to see, and then working with Explore Tanzania to create a customized trip.

What will you take with you from this journey, in your mind, heart, and/or axis?
That if you go at a different time of year, and then, in our case, follow the migration, faith can be very different and yet beautiful.
