Africa Amini Homes is located in the green area of Momella, just outside the Arusha National Park.

The Africa Amini Homes building is located near the Africa Amini Alama projects, including the secondary school for hospitality and sustainable tourism, which provide a warm welcome and an unforgettable stay.

The perfect place to visit the Arusha National Park and the Africa Amini Alama projects, including a lunch under the Africa Amini tree, served by students.

The accommodation

Africa Amini Homes consists of three self-contained hotel rooms, each with its own veranda and views over the garden and surroundings.

All meals are freshly prepared with local ingredients and served in the school’s restaurant, under the Africa Amini tree, by the hosts and hostesses of the hotel management school.

Africa Amini Alama – Africa I believe in you! is the charitable organization of owner Christine and her daughter Cornelia. The various projects are led by the local population and financed from the overnight stays, activities and excursions at e.g. Africa Amini Private Home. As many people as possible are involved in the projects. All projects can also be visited.

Projects:

Education: At the moment there are three primary schools and one secondary school – the Pamoja Secondary School – to provide the children with adequate education. In addition, vocational schools have been established where young people from poor families can become carpenters, masons or mechanics. From January 2022, a hotel management school has been set up in Momella. The schools also have founded different roots & shoots clubs of the Jane Goodall Institute.
Medical: Both Christine and Cornelia are licensed physicians and opened the Africa Amini Hospital in 2010, which was later completed by another department dedicated to alternative medicine. Called ‘the driving doctors’, they also drive to remote Maasai areas to provide on-site medical assistance.
Social: An orphanage for 40 children who – financed by sponsors – can receive education at their schools.
Several Maasai and Meru women’s groups and a women’s choir were also established to ensure a minimum income through various projects.
To guarantee clean drinking water, water projects have been carried out so that it is also possible to supply the Maasai regions with water from Kilimanjaro in dry seasons.
