Your jeep safari
In Northern Tanzania, you travel on safari with your own professional guide in a comfortable 4WD Toyota Land Cruiser. Your guide drives the safari jeep and travels with you from one area to the next. This gives you the freedom to stop whenever there is something special to see, while your guide takes the time to share his knowledge of nature and wildlife with you.
Our safari jeeps feature:
- Spacious, comfortable seats with three-point seatbelts
- A good seat with an unobstructed view for everyone
- Large windows offering panoramic views of the landscape and wildlife
- A canvas roof that can be fully opened, allowing you to stand up during your safari and enjoy an even better view
Practical features
- A fridge stocked with chilled drinks every morning
- Power sockets and USB ports for charging your camera or phone on the road
- Beanbags for photographers, providing extra support when photographing wildlife
- Mosquito repellent and hand sanitiser on board as standard
- Reusable water bottles that can be refilled from the water tank along the way
Communication and safety
- A first-aid kit, with a safari guide trained to use it. 24/7 medical evacuation is available.
- A radio for direct contact with the office in Arusha, while your guide can also be reached by mobile phone.
- No Wi-Fi on board, intentionally, so you can fully immerse yourself in nature. You can, of course, use your own hotspot or eSIM.

In Southern Tanzania, safaris work a little differently. Game drives are usually operated in the safari jeeps provided by the lodge or Safari Camp where you are staying. As you head out directly from your accommodation and cover shorter distances, these are often open-sided safari jeeps. This brings you even closer to nature during your game drives.
